French furniture... not like you imagined!

I want to design a bar so that I can use these pieces to their full potential.

Picture these pieces in a really funky bar... Or maybe even in a car showroom, say BMW or VW. I can picture it.

They're vibrant enough to make a statement in a modern sharp-edged room, but modern enough to keep the style throughout.

Their website has some great inspiration and they're happy to work with a client that needs customization (ex: company logo).

Check out their floor lamp collection that covers 20 punctuation remarks, so great.

Another plus point is that the company cares about sustainability with the materials they use and the manufacturing of the pieces. They use European certified sustainable wood, and the products are made in France.

Danish Design

While walking to one of my favorite little Italian cafes just off of High Street Kensington, I walked past a window of seemingly boring furniture. Not much of a "showroom" look to the shop. But as I peered in further, the details of the pieces began to catch my eye.

Even with a window between the pieces and I, I could tell the quality and I was instantly drawn in. Something was different about these chairs and tables.

The shop is full of both vintage (1944-1969) pieces and newly made editions of original Danish designs. Unlike most remakes, these are made of solid wood. Rosewood is the preferred choice, for many reasons.

These pieces of furniture are not only beautiful to look at but they will last beyond a lifetime and are a true investment.

If you a have a true appreciation and love for quality furniture and like the style of classic Danish pieces, have a look on their website: paeredansk.com and get a feeling for what I'm absolutely crazy about right now!

The Old Cinema

The Old Cinema in Chiswick is exactly that... and Old Cinema dating back to the 1890s. But what is it now? It's not a cinema where you can see movies, but it has been converted into a department store that holds only the coolest of cool retro and vintage.

Here's a piece that I really wanted to take home with me:
Have a scroll through their website, or even better, get into their store for a look around. You'll see so many great pieces!
